About

Jessica E. Boyd

Jessica E. Boyd knows that art and design are about more than pixels, palettes, or simply making things "pop.” As a multi-disciplinary creative, Jessica helps conscious brands tell nuanced, captivating Black stories through digital illustration and strategic brand design.

Clients count on Jessica as a creative partner to help them develop and grow their brand's visual language—from her original illustrations for brands such as Adobe, Shondaland, and Partake Foods, to her brand design for The Finance Bar, Motherland Essentials, and A Peace of Soul Vegan Kitchen.

Jessica graduated from Spelman College with a degree in English and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration at North Carolina Central University. Always curious and open to adventure, she's currently traveling the country as a digital nomad, finding creative inspiration, reconnecting with family and friends, and trying out new vegan eats along the way.

A true trendsetter ahead of her time, Jessica has a track record of seeing the potential and possibilities of a project well before it becomes popular. In 2013, she co-founded Miss Naturally Crowned, South Carolina’s first beauty pageant for women with naturally textured hair. The one-of-a-kind event attracted media coverage by top-tier outlets including, Teen Vogue, Black Enterprise, and Essence magazine. Eventually, the event expanded beyond Columbia, S.C., and inspired other natural pageants across the U.S., Brazil, and Ghana.
